Website update

Zorgfuik has been updated and is now available in English

Zorgfuik.nl has been updated and Zorgfuik.com now makes the message more accessible to people, families, carers and professionals who read English more easily.

Zorgfuik.nl has been updated. The explanation has been sharpened, the website has been made clearer and an English version is now available through Zorgfuik.com.

In a multicultural society, language, origin, religion or background should not determine whether someone receives care, support and ownership. At the same time, we have to be honest: people who do not speak Dutch fluently, feel insecure, are shy, have low literacy or struggle to make themselves understood are often at greater risk of staying trapped.

Not because that person is trying less hard.

But because the system asks a lot: clear language, understanding forms, having conversations, setting boundaries, asking follow-up questions, objecting to decisions, remembering appointments and explaining again and again what is going on. That is already heavy for someone who feels steady. For someone who is vulnerable, overloaded or uncertain, it can become almost impossible.

Getting stuck between healthcare, municipalities, mental health services, social support, youth care, insurers, forms and waiting lists affects people from every part of society. But not everyone has the same space, words or energy to fight their way through that system.

The English version helps make the message more accessible to more people, families, carers and professionals who recognise this.

The core remains the same: care should help people, not make them wander further through the maze.
