About Zorgfuik

From story to pattern.
From pattern to change.

Zorgfuik is a Dutch citizen initiative that collects experiences from people who get stuck in care, support, agencies, waiting lists, referrals, forms and rules.

🔒 Zorgfuik is not a help service and does not forward stories to doctors, municipalities, insurers or agencies.

Why Zorgfuik exists

Many people do not get stuck because of one single mistake. They get stuck because small and large barriers pile up: a referral, a waiting period, a form, a missing handover, a rejection, a new application, another organisation.

On paper these may look like separate steps. For the person who needs help, they feel like one trap.

“If nobody has ownership, the person needing care gets the problem.”

🧭 What Zorgfuik does

We collect experiences, look for recurring patterns and show where people get trapped locally, regionally or nationally.

  • Collect experiences safely.
  • Recognise recurring bottlenecks.
  • Prepare public pressure through the petition.
  • Argue for independent coordination with mandate.

🚫 What Zorgfuik does not do

Zorgfuik is not a helpdesk, care provider, crisis service, legal desk or complaints procedure. We do not take over individual cases.

  • No medical advice.
  • No legal advice.
  • No crisis intervention.
  • No forwarding of stories to involved agencies.

What we stand for

Zorgfuik calls for independent coordination with real mandate. Not another desk. Not another meeting table with a nicer name. People in complex stuck situations need someone who can see across organisations, speed up decisions and stop repeated proof and paperwork when the need for help is already clear.

🧩 Fragmentation is the problem

Everyone may own a piece, while nobody owns the whole situation.

📊 Patterns matter

One story may be an incident. Many similar stories reveal a structural failure.

⚖️ Mandate matters

Coordination without mandate often becomes another meeting. Zorgfuik calls for actual decision power.

🚨 Need immediate help?

Zorgfuik is not a crisis service. If there is immediate danger, call your local emergency number. In the Netherlands: call 112. For suicidal thoughts in the Netherlands, contact 113.
